Lyde-Thomas Family & Friends Update
The month of August ushers in the end of a very busy summer for many of us. There are at least three weddings in the family beginning on August 6th in the Greenville, South Carolina area on the Lyde side of the family and ending with one August & one September wedding on the Dial side of the family.
Our cousin, Moses McFadden spent a week as a patient in Health South in Florence, SC last month. “Mose”is back in Dillon and doing well for a 72 year old. My husband and I attended his family’s reunion in North Charleston, South Carolina last month. Marie and “Zeek” will participate in their spouses’ family reunions at Santee State Park this month.
Diane will take a family reunion cruise with her mother’s side of the family this month. I am sure that there have been many events that others of you have had this summer; and if there are pictures or events that you want to share with the family, please contact us and we will place them on our web site.
If you plan to participate in the Lyde-Thomas Family & Friends Weekend Retreat in August 2012 and you have not completed the survey that has been on our Website since it was launched in April.
Reminder: The deposits on the cabins are due next month. Santee State Park is a very popular site for family reunions, and we are trying to book our cabins and the community building before everything is booked up.
